BTW, I had failed to understand that the 'processes' might have been
threads. If there's one thing that sh*ts be about *both* Linux and the
BSDs, it's the process-analysis, process-management and code-debugging
utilities. The use of gdb, for instance, really aggravates me. I can
intuitively understand Why It Is So, and that Solaris has an "unfair
advantage" by coping only with a tiny number of platforms. However, the
fact that Linux and BSDs are driven so much by developers makes me
astounded that the developers themselves don't give each other more
satisfaction (ewwww). I suppose that supporting the luxuries must be
so non-trivial as to be impractical.
