[plug] Gentoo Emerge -reemerge

If I specify a long line of packages I wanted emerged (emerge -ka 
xmms-blurk xmms-shell...) and stop it part way through (or it dies part 
way through) if I use the same command line it wants to emerge all the 
packages again re-emerging packages already installed. This can be 
annoying when I accidently specify a package I already have without 
knowing it.

How can I stop it from doing this (unless I give an exact version.)
I understand that if the USE flags change or a newer version is 
available then it needs to re-emerge them but other than that it seems 
pointless.
