I've always been a fan of Usenet (shows my age probably), but Usenet groups 
definately need moderation otherwise they degenerate into junk unbelievably 
fast.

Filter by subject - I do (and by filter I mean "manually delete if not 
interested"). Simple enough.

Hooker
