Assuming you definately know its the hard disk (eg. tried in different computer to make sure computer power supply was OK), I do know of people who
have got the same model of a hard disk (as the dead one), and swapped the circuit boards over to recover the information off it. But this of course
depends on how the hard disk died. You may be lucky, and be able to do this. But of course you need to find pretty much the exact make/model of the hard disk in question.
If you post some details on the HDD, maybe some others on the list could offer something like this ?
Yes i have tried it on others computers as still cold as an ice block.
