[plug] Restore

Hi All hope everyone had a good weekend.

I have a quick problem that I can't seem to work logically.

I have created data dumps as backups to a directory called /backup now I
wanted to restore those files so I used the following command to get into
the backup file so I can manually restore them in 'whatever' directory.

#restore -i -A workdir -b 1024
>restore

Now at that point I don't know how to extract specific directories out into
the file system.
>restore extract Primary /mnt/
It asks for the tape drive and seems to do stuff but it hasn't extracted
into the actual /mnt/ directory. Is it trying to shift it instead the data
file?

I'm sorry if this sounds confusing cause its pretty confusing for me atm.

Also in order to backup the datadumps onto cd do I have to make them into an
iso?

One last point I have read that ext3 has a filesize limit of 2Gig if thats
correct how do you as in people on the list get past this when backing up
data since when I backup its already sitting at 1.7gig now?

Is it that you created multiple backup files then create one big iso?

Thanks for the help in advance I know its a bit annoying on a monday morning
but I was trying for a few hours on saturday to think of a way around it.

Thanks

Marc
