I know you said to mail you off list, but I thought i should clarify.
*.homelinux.net dont belong to me. only kite.homelinux.net (i am using
dyndns.org as i have dynamic dns).
The reason I am using fetchmail rather than forwarding mail is because I am not
currently certain of how constant my server can be (dynamic dns... etc). If i
was to forward my mail, but my server was down... would it get lost? I wasnt
sure, so I thought instead of forwarding, i will get my server to use fetchmail
to ensure that my server gets ALL mail.
I dont have a shell account at iinet i dont think. i cant seem to log into
anything, so cant set up forwarding that way. is there another way to set up
iinet mail forwarding? or can i log into a server there somehow?
Thanks for your help by the way.
ps - i have changed my mind about slackware and sendmail. i have that set as my
final aim. but i will start smaller. i am gonna try archlinux and exim first,
then work up. not that i think that will be HEAPS easier... i just know a few
archlinux users that can directly help me.
