A couple of years ago we had a work experience student who noticed a
spare Dataplex DPX-224 modem on the bench (they do 2400 baud maximum,
but we use them for telemetry dialins at 1200 baud, and they're very
reliable) and asked if that was a really old slow modem, "like 28k or
something."
