Matthew asked: "quick poll: What do people name their machines after?"

I'm the Dilbert fan that names all of my machines (9 of them in my home
network) after Dilbert characters. At the Economics & Commerce faculty
in UWA (where I am a student) the servers are named after units of
currency, for example: Dollar, Cent, Pound, Yen, Mark, Franc, Kyat,
Kroner, ... (lots more). I thought that was appropriate. A lot of the
general UWA servers are named after classical greek stuff, eg. Cyllene,
Styx, ... the student server is called Tartarus (greek for Hell as I
understand it - another good call).

Sorry, I'm too old to have a favourite transformer, my kids watched that
on TV when they were little but I didn't relate closely enough to the
show take it on - mostly because what the kids really liked was Pokemon
(now there's a naming convention for machines - there's hundreds of
them). Has anyone ever hear the "Pokemon Polka" by Weird Al Yankovich -
it's a hoot. (http://www.schultzs.org/pokeminmin/Polkamon.mp3 - 1.9MBytes)

Cheers, Mark.
