Yes, the WA State Revenue office does it too.  I have sent them a 
slightly more polite but equally critical series of posts that say much 
the same thing that Kev sent the ABN folks.  I received some 
condescending responses.  Sadly, the political masters just got back in 
for 4 more years so don't bother trying to wake any of them up to 
request a response - their narcolepsy is too deep.
