Your problem is with this line:

(EE) Failed to load module "vga" (module does not exist, 0)

I'd suggest using a module that more closely resembles your VGA
hardware, or in a pinch modify /etc/X11/XFree86Config-4 and change the
Driver "vga" under section "Device" to "vesa".

That may do it. The testing/unstable comes from /etc/issue, you can
edit that file and change if you like...
