[plug] Unable to access secure web site using opera

I can't remember the exact details of this but I remember reading (and
having issues with Jakarta tomcat running on an ibm s390) that there
is two primary forms of transport for encrypted sites SSL and TLS.
Most use TLS by default and this is supported more widely, but in the
case of the s390 the TLS support in tomcat didn't work so was changed
to SSL - which can have some compatability issues with unsupported
browsers. Perhaps this is a related issue?
