Carl, today's backup which hadn't finished when I left was up to 18
hours. Unfortunately I recently inhereted this setup, but I am going to
have to fix it.
I am already pricing a RAID controller and disks. It may be that the
easy way out is to put it onto Windows.
However I am still interested in the Linux solution too.
