Certainly. It's happened before (wave, Cameron :).

All it needs is somebody to nominate you (which can be yourself). The 
main exec positions (Pres, VP, Treasurer, Secretary) and OGMs generally 
need the formal nomination process. The less-formal roles such as 
librarian, webmaster and listmaster, don't even need that.
