Hi,
I have one, it's not too bad. Its hardware seems to be supported by most
linux distro's(and it should given that it comes with a linux distro on it).
I didn't stick with linpus because I had to install vpnc on the machine to
use it at uni and, i had a few dependency issues(it uses fedora
repositories). I'm currently running the ubuntu netbook remix on it and, it
is running a little slow when i multitask on it(but barable), so i'm looking
at installing debian on it when i get a chance.
The trackpad and button configuration on it is somewhat unusual(the buttons
are on the sides of the trackpad) but, I got used to that fairly quickly.
All in all, it's a fairly decent laptop for the price. I think you can get a
6-cell battery for it(it ships with a 2-cell battery that lasts about 3
hours in linpus) for about $120 US (so if the exchange rate returns to what
it once was, that might be worth looking into), that would significantly
improve battery life.
Regards,
Caleb
