I tend to recommend people use westnet. They're not price leaders by
any means, but they do seem to offer a reasonable service. There's
usually a bit of a delay between iinet (local 80lb gorilla) dropping
prices (or more likely upping plan specs) and westnet following suite.
They do however consistently have the best reputation for support and
hand holding for those who need it. Whilst they don't officially
support linux, they usually have staff on hand who do know what's what
when it comes to non MS platforms, but this is not so unusual now days.
I believe iinet can also often rustle up some linux aware customer
support if needed, but it's been a long time since I've had to test
customer support with either so don't depend /too/ heavily on what I'm
saying.
