As for switches, the PoE ones tend to be bulkier and much more expensive.
The HP fanless GigE switches are pretty good and we have tested their
lifetime warranty. They recently replaced one of our older ones, no
questions asked.
What are their thoughts regarding PoE, is it a nice to have or for a
particular purpose? If it's a handful of devices you could get away with
either a small PoE switch sitting on top of the 24 port one or a couple of
power injectors.
